I need to know if I can hook up a jet pump to a well outside that has a hand pump on top of well and be able to use jet pump inside and still use hand pump outside.The well is 20-50' deep,the jet pump is a 1/2hp and I have a kit for the pump if it is 50' deep

The problem is that the jet pump would remove the prime from the hand pump and visa versa. You would need to install check valves in an attempt to stop this.

That would be a cross connection and you would be setting your water supply up for vulnerability to bacterialogical contamination. You are better off removing the hand pump and installing a siphon protector on anything you use outside.

make sure you have a bladder tank before your jet pump also step up in hp
