I refuse to get locked into a one or two year service contract so I go prepaid. Verizon's Free-Up sucked because the rates always changed. Boost is the company I'm with now, pretty good rates but excellent customer service.

I've been using T Mobile prepaid for a little over 5 years. They are the best in my opinion - no hidden charges, doesn't cost you a $1 just to turn the phone on, minutes rollover when you refill before expiration and once you become Gold Member all your minutes have a ONE year expiration. None of the other carriers come close to that.

Their customer service is excellent, as is their TECH support. They've never given my any hassles when I either request to have my phones unlocked or if I buy an unlocked phone and want to use it with their service. Try that with Cingular, Verizon, Boost or Tracfone.

Virgin Mobile!!! Hands down.. Good coverage, all the features, voicemail, and calls are about 18 cents a minute. Try that with Tracfone and others that even charge $1.00 a day when you use your phone. The best part......you don't have 60 days to use your prepaid....you have 90 days!!! (Also a 1 year plan is available.)

Cingular was great, but just always buy at least a $20 card so your minutes will roll over... I was very pleased with service & pricing...

i used to have a family line with t-mobile, but i dont really use my minutes and just waste my $$ on something i don't use so i switched to prepaid with t-mobile , but i get my sim and load from ebay. cheaper!

i take advantage of tracfone and have been notably happy with them. of course, my telephone is notably low use and that i hardly elect greater beneficial than their lowest fee card. it works out to approximately $8.00 according to month for a coast to coast emergency touch variety. no longer undesirable in case you question me.
