I don't know exactly what you mean. However, how about this: 4 years ago, I was on vacation in West Virgina. We were spending "Dirt Week" at the Hatfield-McCoy Trail. Four wheel riding, of course. We had rode all the beginner trails. That week had been so much fun for everyone. Well, it was a Saturday and we were going to be heading home in a couple of hours (we lived 8 hours away). We decided to ride one more trail. It was long , but a beginner trail. The last hill we had to go down was just minutes from our truck. As I started to go down this steep, long hill, I down shifted into 1st gear. Somehow it kicked into neutral and picked up speed....fast. I was in shock, knew that I would die if I hit the bottom. And my bf at the time was in front of me. Since the trail was narrow, I would not be able to go around him. So, I headed toward the cliff, cut the tires sharp, and flew off several feet in the air. I hit the ground elbow first. The four wheeler bounced off of me. I rolled, then skidded on rocky terrain. When I stopped, I sat up. My legs were dangling over the edge!
Luckily, I had a helmet on because there were gashes in it. I had an open wound fracture (3 bones in my elbow/arm had broke), my thigh had been punctured, and ankle sprained. I spent 16 days in the hospital in Huntington, WV. I had 7 debridements! And 1 surgery to sew my arm up. I was off work for 3 months, on a pick line 24/7 for 3 months. I went to occupational therapy for a couple of months, wore a turnbuckle brace while sleeping.
Presently, I have a gnarly scar from the elbow to forearm (approx 3x4), my thigh is still noticeably swollen on the side and sensitive if hit or to any pressure, right below the elbow I have a tender part that if it barely touches something I will be down for the count. For example, if I reach for something and it barely touches any surface, it feels similar to hitting the funny bone. Only it isn't funny, the pain doubles me over and lasts a bit longer. Also my arm does not have 100% extension (more like 85%), I have a donor site on front of thigh about the size of a dollar bill. So I can't wear shorts. I freak out if going down a hill (in a car, on a bike, horse or roller coaster).
Needless to say, I don't ride 4 wheelers any more. So, I guess you could say that I felt trapped. I mean, I know if I had been a more experienced rider, I could have prevented the accident. Anyway, I stared death in the face that day.

There is no escape.
You are trapped until you learn to deal with the situation.

Several times.
Each "snare" is different. Sometimes you learn about yourself, sometimes you learn about the world.
Either way, knowing when to leave a situation comes easier with time, and sticking through them builds character.

either deal with the situation now or its gonna come back to haunt you in the future and you will have to deal with it anyway. if you dont know what to do, find somebody to talk to who can give you some support and guidance. good luck to you
