Though born in the U.S., I currently live abroad and don't really miss much. But I thought I would ask this question, because obviously every place has it's good and bad points.

For you, what is:
1) The best thing about living in the U.S. currently
2) The worst thing about living in the U.S. currently

Please keep it to just one of each. Feel free to talk about whatever, but I am looking for more than just something currently inconvenient like "gas prices"--they are high elsewhere, too. Try to keep focused on things specific to the U.S. Thanks. I am very interested to hear what you think!

Aww, Paris--don't be bitter that I didn't like your question about if you should dress to look like one group of people or the other. I was just saying that you should dress how you want. Now, how about an answer from you?

The best thing about living in the U.S. currently is that if we have a jerk for a leader, we can vote him or her out the next time they run... if they don't rig the election.

The worst thing about living in the U.S. currently, is the fact that we have a jerk for a leader who caters to large corporations and the wealthy and who makes things extremely hard on those who already were having a hard time living in the first place.

1. Best thing is diversity, I've been to S. Korea and there is no diversity what so ever. Well a little... but you feel like a foreigner still.

2. Worst- transportation- I mean transportation between cities and states--- I guess flying is always good, but other than that there isn't really good transportation like buses or trains.

I, also, lived abroad for years. Here's my observation:

Best Thing: Astonishing freedom of choice.

Worst thing: Low educational expectations of students.

Best thing: You are left alone to do what you want, to eat what you like, to live where you are comfortable.
Worst thing: People are kind of suspicious, super conscious of security&safety.
