Mix this clear away from food areas.
1cup sugar
1cup flour
1 cup vegetable shortening (crisco)
1/2 cup boric acid
Mix well, roll into balls about 1" in diameter. Put each ball on a little square of foil to keep it from staining surfaces. Distribute throughout your house around baseboards, behind washing machines and anywhere else the nasty little things crawl. They eat it and carry it back to the nest and kill off the young. Make sure kids and animals can't get it! Keep all food put away, sealed and don't leave water standing anywhere.

My friend's house was INFESTED here in South Louisiana. She found some large flat containers (like boxes) and covered the bottom with Boric Acid. She then dropped a chocolate bar (you could use ANY kind of food ~ especially if it's sweet) in the middle of the container.
The roaches crawl across the Boric Acid to get to the chocolate bar and then have to clean themselves off when they get back to the nest. When they die in the nest, the others eat THEM and THEY die.
Within a month my friend was roach FREE!!
GOOD LUCK!!

You can never get rid of cockroaches. If there was a nuclear blast, the only thing that will live will be cockroaches. They are indestructible. You can keep them from living with you by having a super clean house. If you live in an apartment and your neighbor is a pig, forget it. They are here to stay. Watch the movie Joe's Apartment.

Always kep your sink and bathtub clean and dry don't leave dirty dishes out, throw out trash daily (usa small shopping bags instead of big trash bags), clean and mop floors with amonia and floor detergent, seal every hole and crack in walls, use zip lock bags to store cookies, chips or anything that has an aroma, and finally get some Boric Acid powder from any hardware store and sprinkle behind stove and refrigerator. You have to switch up the pest control formulas every month-because their inmune systems adjust to them.
Order your landlord to spray.
If you have kids or dirty neighbors...an act of God will help you only

I use boric acid mixed with powder sugar placed in small jar lids. The roaches are attracted to the powder sugar but will also eat the boric acid.

I have often used ""Dursban" a pesticide used for termites(white ants) mixing it with equal part of water and sprayed near the doors, toilet water exit points/gutter/wash-basin outlet point. If unable to spray just pour 2 tea spoons approximately into water outlet traps in the toilet/kitchen, gaps beneath the doors opening into lawns/ enterance
IN India its mfrd by NOCIL, Rallis.
YOU MUST TAKE PRECAUTION IN SPRAYING IT SHOULD BE AWAY FROM EATABLES/ DISHES/ CUTLERY AND PETS.
AND WASH HANDS IF YOU HAPPEN TO TOUCH.
ITS HIGHLY POISONOUS
It really works for few months, and it has to be tried again.

Sprinkle Boric Acid in plastic milk caps and slide them under the refrigerator and stove. Thirty days you should be free from the pests. :)

Get a cat - no joke! Cats tend to chase and kill every little creature that moves in a house - and the bonus is that sometimes they even eat what they kill - another plus! Hope this helps!
