I've seen this a lot, especially when Americans don't realise (yes I said 'realise', that's how we spell the word here) that other countries like Europe, Britain & Ireland spell some words differently (no offence to Americans, just pointing this out).
Even IF someone has a typo in a question there's no need to be pedantic, it's just annoying.

No one has ever tried to correct my spelling. May be its because people hardly pay any attention on the spellings written online. If you try to correct spelling mistakes of other people then you wouldn't have any time left for yourself. Don't correct what's written online as long as you can understand what they are trying to say.

I have a great vocabulary so I do not misspell words. Plus that check spelling function quite a lot.

Ya i agree that it can be annoying at times. But sometimes it's a chance for us to learn more about other countries's way of spellin' things. If they wouldn't have corrected you, you would never have known that there was a difference.

Yes, I have been corrected, but rightly so I guess. I used the word patients instead or patience. My mistake.

someone once told me i misspelled something when I knew I was right. One of my answerers told him I was right.

if its my friend yes i correct her spelling, but im trying to teache her how to spell. other times, who care? if they need to tell me how to type, they need to learn to type. stupid is as stupid does right?
