As I said before, my friend just moved halfway across the world and her birthday is coming up so I thought I'd send her a "survival kit" filled with random things: some personal, some material. Basically things to make her happy. She's 15, she really likes classic rock, she's not too into clothes but she's okay with makeup. Don't want to fedex food... please help think of ideas!!

try a book that you both liked. and a couple of fun pictures of you both. pictures of people in school that she knows. Find a cuddle friend( stuffed toy). and favorite music. hair srunchies. a letter of how much you miss her but want to come out there and would love a chance to. a fragrance candle. tic tacs. a guardian angel to watch over her. a picture of the boyfriend. a basket. if she's into sports, something from that sport. a birthday card. Your love.

With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina.

You should reconsider the food part. There are some junk foods you just can't get in another country and they're so full of preservatives they ship incredibly well. It can be small, but very comforting if you have a rough day at a new school.

a notebook filled with well-wishers from the people she knew back home. A small photo album of pictures of you and places you guys used to visit. New books by her favorite author.
