Without a doubt dart frog poison is much more deadly. Consider the fact that dart frog poison is used by Yanamamo indians in the amazon to kill large game. The poison is concentrated and placed onto darts. The poison is so good that a 25 pound monkey can be killed within seconds after being shot. Furthermore the golden dart frog is considered to be one of the most poisonous creatures on the planet with the ability to kill up to 10 humans. It is an incredibly potent neurotoxin rivaled only by blowfish toxin. As for the black widow spider, at best you will be really sick, but it won't necessarily kill you unlike golden dart frog poison which will almost without a doubt kill you.

Black Widow Spider

Hard question to answer.

The only way to be truly objective is to use the same criteria on how lethal a substance is to its victims.

The most objective scale is the LD50 scale which is the "Lethal Dose, 50%" measurement. What this scale measures is how much poison is needed to kill 50% of the subjects in a 24 hour period.

The reason is every poison varies on how much poison is needed to cause death and how much time is needed to do it, in addition, a certain amount of lethality can be attributed to delivery as well.

To illustrate, a black widow must inject here venom to kill. Only skin contact is necessary for a poison dart frog to cause death.

I believe that if you were to look up the LD50s of both creatures, the poison dart frog wins in terms of lethality.

NOTE: when asking questions like this, it's important that everyone is using the same and correct definitions. It's very common for people to get these terms mixed up and it's important that people exercise precision. For instance:

Poison: This refers to any substance that is dangerous to life.

Venom: This refers to a poisonous substance that MUST be injected into the victim.

Toxin: This term actually refers to a poisonous substance that is produced by a living organism, typically proteins that cause bad reactions.

Toxic/Toxicity: This term differs from toxin in that it refers to the degree of lethality, not the origin of the poison. Toxicity describes how much (concentration) of a poisonous substance produces a negative reaction. Do not confuse negative with death although death can be considered the ultimate in negative reactions.

Black widow, and for a simple reason.
The venom of frogs is a defensive mechanism, that is, you won't be in touch with the venom unless you disturb the frog, and of course they have no means of injecting the venom or otherwise deliver it into any animal's bloodstream.
The venom of even the most common garden frog would have serious and even lethal effects on a person if administered intravenously. However, that couldn't happen naturally.

Put it like this:

If you get bitten by a black widow then yu almost certainly won't die. Even without treatment only about 1 in every 10, 000 adults bitten die.

If you manage to swallow or be injected with frog toxin you most definitely will die. A couple of micrograms is more than enough to kill a horse.

No doubt the frog venom is more dangerous.
