The IKEA ones go phut too quickly.

Stupidmarkets only sell wussy low power ones that a bat couldn't see by.

Where should I go to get a decent range, other than some massive B&Q out in the icy wastes on the bypass? (next to IKEA of course)

Look on the Internet there are lots of discount electrical suppliers on there. The Phillips ones are the best ones but they also cost!!

If you have a Wal Mart or similar store you will find in their lighting dept, replacement flouresent bulbs to fit where your regular bulbs are now. They are the same size as your bulbs now but are a winding tube curled around and around to resemble the size of the regular bulbs. They make them small enough for ceiling fans even. Best part is you can get one that puts off the equivalent of 100 watts but only uses 10 watts and burns super cool. I have a vanity light with about 8 bulbs in it and if I use real ones it puts off so much heat that my A/C can't keep the room cool enough. With these bulbs there is no temp increase. Only problem with them is they come on like other flourescent bulbs. It takes about 5 seconds for them to reach peak brightness adn about 2 seconds for them to kick on. If you use them in the whole house you'll see a good difference in your power bill if you use lights a lot. Best part, my house was blowing about 5 bulbs a week and since changing to these I haven't had to replace a single bulb yet.
