17 yrs ago my best friend introduced me to my man. Of course a lot has happened since then. About a year ago she started telling me I should go out more with the "girls", and stop spending so much time with my hubby. I am 38 yrs old, and still enjoy going out, but I like him to be with me, there are a lot of freaks out there, plus my hubby and I have fun together. I tried explain this to her, but she insits he is controlling me. What is going on..... I feel like she is trying to break us up or something??? I talk to her on msn, but we don't spend time together anymore. Do I let my "sister" go? Help!!!

Trust your gutt. Your hubby is way more important than anyone else. Never let other's advice change what you know is how you want things.
At 38 I was happy to be home and didn't need to go out with the girls except for ocassionally........well rarely. But that was by choice.

Sounds like your friend is intruding. Maybe she is going through some crap. Eventually she will come back around. But, if anyone, ever her is destructive to your marriage.....the marriage comes first. #1 ,. numero uno.

If she says he is controllin you....tell her that you love her but she needs to mind her own business

There is nothing wrong with a girls night out every now and then. She could be jealous that you and your husband have lasted so long and continue to be happy. If you want to keep her as a friend then you two should have at least one or two days a month that you have girls only time. By spending a little more time with her you might be able to find out what the real problem is. I think she may be jealous unless she is right by saying your husband controls you.

You were not too afraid to go out before he came along. Put a balance on it all. Set one night a week to go out with the girls. It's healthy. I'm a christain and I take one night a week to go out with other Ladies, not alone. It gives us time away from each other and time away from the work load. My friends and I have a blast. When we say girls night out that means no guys at all!! Plus He could have a guys night out too. give him some time to build guy friendships. then get together with a couples night out. It's a away to get to know each others spouses. Nobody is left out then. And you can keep your sister.
