The reason the front tire Comes off the ground is due to the torque factor. The chain drive is pulling in linear fashion, keeping the torque in line with the wheels. By increasing the RPM and creating more torque, the easier it is to lift the front of the bike.
Did you ever "pop a wheelie" on your bicycle? Much the same principle.
A shaft drive bike is not a susceptible to "wheelies", for the drive shaft changes the torque line from in line to a 90 degree turn at the wheel. A shaft drive will tend to "lean" the bike to the opposite side as the drive shaft is on, due to the tuque that is created. Don't get me wrong, shaft drives can do "wheelies" as well.

Shocks are in the back. Forks are in the front. Lifting a bike has to do with weight and acceleration.

Nope, it's you. Just because the throttle goes all the way around doesn't mean you have to use it all. The top riders in the world know how to apply the throttle smoothly and at just the right amount to keep the front wheel down.
Be smoother with your wrist!

nothing wrong with your shocks, watch a drag bike go down the track.A perfect run has the front tire off the ground about an inch high and drag bikes are ridgid frame.
