Dont be decieved by the differences in opinion which the United States and France seems to express in some certain issues, be rest assured that the two countries will never engage each other in any physical battle in form of a WAR.

Based on modern history, the USA only seems to 'kick off' at countries which are unable to defend themselves in the conventional manner and who could not form a counter-attack against them.
The most recent examples would be:
Afghanistan - no nuclear weapons - invasion
Iraq - no nuclear weapons - invasion
Iran - no nuclear weapons - possible invasion
NORTH KOREA - NUCLEAR WEAPONS - diplomacy
In my opinion, this is the mark of a cowardly nation who would not be prepared to take on an equally matched opponent. France has loads of nukes and is also not a member of NATO, so the chances of the USA starting anything with them are incredibly slim. As is the case with China, a good ally of north korea, who would probably defend them should the need arise. China has tons of missiles which could destroy any US city in seconds.
Please note that the above comments are my OPINIONS, which i do not claim to be infallible fact.

The USA would never attack France because France is like a 2 year old child that has yet to learn that it needs to behave.

As Crabboy 4 says France has long range nuclear weapons so America will never attack France(plus the American public would never stand for it). Just look how Bush has begun to walk softly round North Korea!

I don't think the US would "kick off" with France because they would be much better as an Ali than an enemy. Plus France is a "neutral" country so I don't think they would do anything to piss off the US.

Definitely not. The USA is maintained by screeching idealists on both sides of every issue, and a war with France would tip the scale towards one side, a move the other side would certainly not risk.

If it ever did "kick off" between USA and France (cant see how it would though) Just because France is very close to us (UK) it dosent mean that we would side with france. to be honest the French and British dont like each other that much, but we are very close to the USA. The british love the yanks and wouldnt hesitate to side with them. We see USA as our big brother and after all blood is thicker than water................

What is 'kick off' ?
France often has differing opinions with the USA and they are certainly entitled to.

France would surrender to the girl scouts.
No one takes France serious about anything, except they are not trustworthy.
