Here is the scenario: You are living during the time from the years just before the Seven Years War (French-Indian War) to the years just after te end of the Seven Years War. You are of legal age to make your own decisions and have to choose to either side with the French or British. Which side would you fight for and why? You cannot simply remain neutral.

That depends on where you are living during this time. If I was an American during this time, I would side with the French. I respect the fact that they allied with the Native Americans who were being decimated at the time by the British. As a result of the British winning this war, Native Americans were pacified, and moved further west.

Well, I'm assuming that I am a resident of one of the 13 colonies on the Eastern seaboard. I would have to side with the British, having grown up on all the horror stories of French-instigated attacks on the frontier settlements (it probably would make little difference to me that the British and the colonists did their fair share of atrocities, too!).

After all, the Seven Years' War was really only the final act in a century or more of British-French conflict in North America.

that's a troublesome one. i have self assurance my ancestors fought for the Colonists, no matter if there changed into one in all them who supported the British and moved lower back to England after the conflict. the rationalization that's difficult is that 95 p.c. of my ancestors were from England, Scotland, eire and Wales. i'm an American, yet 95 per cent of me is Northern ecu. i recognize my ancestors must have extremely had a troublesome decision. ought to they stay unswerving to the country they were from, or unswerving to the recent u . s .? maximum of them chosen to strive against for American. As for me, i imagine it ought to matter upon my circumstances. Am I a tycoon, in basic terms newly over from Enland? Or someone who has been the following awhile? If I were the former, i'd help England, if the latter, then the colonists. It in basic terms actual relies upon on who you've been, and the circumstances in touch.
