I was wearing a white cardigan the other day and my friends told me that it was the worst thing they had ever seen. It got me thinking (which is rare but sometimes happens) so here's my question.

Most unfashionable? Ah, there are so many but I'd have to say tube tops. I'm sorry to anyone who wears them, but I just find them tacky for ANY occasion. Most fashionable would have to be a trench coat. They are cute and sophisticated and always in style.

Er, so sorry Shane, don't want to upset or offend you, but for me its those zip up patterned cardigans that some of the (dare I say it) older guys wear, not saying you are one, OK I know they are probably really comfy but they are pretty out dated now, my grandad used to almost live in his, I felt awful having to almost prise it off his back and get him into a nice trendy jumper instead, I guess a lot of people tend to wear what's considered old fashioned for comfort and I think some wear them because they think at a certain age they have to wear that sort of stuff too.

I don't know so much about the 'unfashionable' bit - but the girls (and boys) wearing hipster trousers with their panties/pants showing is pretty awful! What is the fashion statement there?

Wearing trousers with strange ra-ra skirt things over the top (currently very fashionable in northern france!!) - and I thought the French were supposed to be the height of fashion.......
Socks with sandals comes very high on the list too, though.

Shell suits (DOES anyone still wear them?) Puff ball skirts, anything with big shoulder pads....Could go on but think fluorescent shell suits especially worn with lots of jewellry gets my vote!

Anything that makes you look poor/ like a criminal. Sleeveless shirts, especially wifebeaters, make you look disgusting, sweaty, edgy, and unprofessional.
