hi am doing ms in comp sc.have some old friends from MTECH who always bully and look down upon me .?

they always look down upon as if am stupid. i topped last sem . cant say anythin to them . they are quite younger to me. i worked for few yrs before joining this course. some glas 4m other courses have also joined them.

If it's just for fun, like say, some light teasing, then just laugh at it. You don't need to plant anger, now do you??

But if it's physical, then --- well, ummmm. I don't know. I never had that problem. Sure everyone tried to bully me in my time, but now I bully them. Just show them your stuff. Don't worry about it.

Or study Kung Fu.

Ignore them. Your taking a Master of Science degree is a source of insecurity for them (when you get to be called 'Doctor' because of a Doctor of Science degree, watch them turn green). Each one has a level of expertise or career choice to work on and it is normal for peers to be envious and pretend to be such "sneers" when deep in their hearts, they wished they could be like you. Do your best, show the world who's best and the world will recognize you. All other contrarians will rant and rave all they want but they don't count anymore.

Ignore them .. Concentrate on ur work....this culture is prevelant
all ove the world... not only in college ,one need to face this even when he is an employee ...some Seniors keep doing that by underestimating ur talent.The best way to answer them is to show results, which u r doing at present...

You are not alone. I had similar problem at school. People walked all over me for all kinds of reasons, whether they were older or younger, and it's difficult to make a response. People who are younger than you seem gutsier these days.Those moments are all I remember of my school days. You think that these people will one day grow up and mature, but it seems some of them don't unfortunately.
