The French seem to particularly despise the Yanks.
In fact I think most European countries are anti-American. Its only our stupid spineless PM Bliar who insists on sucking up to them. Oh for a PM with some guts who would stand up and say no to America!!!

CUBA, VENEZUELA, are two. They have upset the US so much, that they tried to assassinate Castro, and tried to topple Chavez. Bolivia might be heading there, as well.
North Korea and China, Iran and at one time Libya, have also wound up the US. China they can't do much about.
The other countries are or have been under embargo. They have trade sanctions against them. And in some cases, US citizens are not allowed to visit.
The inevitable response of the US is to accuse the leaders of insanity, and to inflict punishment on the country. When they attempt to protect themselves they are accused of aggressive intent. Sometimes this is used as an excuse to attack.

The most obvious one is Cuba. Despite the American embargo being in place for more than 40 years and various attempts to interfere by American funded factions Cuba is still a thorn in their side.

Yes, many countries stab us in the back even after we have supported them for years with our foreign aid.
The French are a bunch of weasels that can't be trusted by anyone.

Iran does. Iraq used to. Libya used to have quite a nasty line in this sort of thing too.
Personally I prefer the more peaceful nations who do this. Cuba springs to mind. And Venezuela, although that's been a more recent thing.

for some reason the French can REALLY irritate yanks. Even though it was the French who gave them the statue of Liberty ( and gave them the model for revolution and republican Democracy) America really has it in for "dem goddam frenchies".
