What if:

a)You're a fanatic fan of Italy and you have a French boyfriend/girlfriend?

b)You're a fanatic fan of France and you have an Italian boyfriend/girlfriend?

What will you do in such situation? Will you quarrel? Or will you break up? Or will you just let peace reign between the both of you and not having any insults against each other,no discriminations as well, and no blaming to the other sides for the lost of your favourite team and no calling bad names to the team that lost?

Think wisely before answering.Only wise people know which is the best option.Or perhaps you have other opinions too, then feel free to tell me about it.Somehow, let peace reign in this forum.

P/S:No abusive, bad and insulting words from any sides please..

I forgot to say:you have been coupled with him/her before the final match and during the final match, you are still with him/her.

Thai Lad:It's not that I don't want to forget it,but in this forum there are a lot of people still fighting over this.I'm just trying to calm everyone down.Let peace reign.

hello there!! nice nickname and pic..well,I'm a french and actually I'm having that situation you're saying..yes,I've an Italian boyfriend..and it seems like we choose the last option..every time we talk about football,he would always try to avoid himself from talking about the victory achieved by Italy..but when he does say so,he says something good for the France team in return..and he didn't insult Zidane for his headbutts and I know that he is always sincere with his words for I've actually heard him talking about football with his friends accidentally and he didn't say even a single bad word about Zidane and the France national football team,he praised them instead for having such passion for football..and he even defended France and Zidane when his friends said bad words about them..thanks Andrea..sorry that I overheard your conversation..I didn't mean it..

Well, I'm so passionate about who I support, and let me tell you, someone who supports Materazzi could never be my boyfriend in the first place. For the sake of truth and justice, such a scenario is unlikely, I mean I have made some friends who support Italy, and they are nice people, but that's really only a few, the rest are so rude I can't stand it! We would never get along, so there would be no use to even start a relationship like that, and from experience, I have seen how some of these Italian fans are like, people that disgust me, a refelection of their team, so no never could there even be a scenario like that with me, it is too improbable. I guess that's how I am, a fighter until the end, truth and justice are much more important than a false peace.

Hey, this is nice

You are right, i am a ture example, my boyfriend is ITALIAN, yes Angelo is Italian, ...we both enjoyed the world cup, he is an italian fan. During the world cup he was flying an Italian flag on his car while i had the flag for Argentina, when they lost i switched to France. I respect his support as he does mine besides i think it would have been boring if we both supported the same team,

I think it is just this forum

Also, no more off the forum hate messages

The irony of this "war" is that no one but Materazzi and Zidane know what was said. There have been implied theories and many have taken half-truths and built a diatribe with it. It is disgusting, and those that continue to keep it alive are not only poor representatives for the wonderful sport of soccer, but should be ashamed for how they represent their countries.

This reminds me of the inherent ignorance that "nationalism" brings to people. An example is the falsehood that Americans don't understand soccer, and coined the term. We didn't need to, we already had football before soccer was organized.

Disgusting behavior, disgusting.

i've got on no account been to France, yet I easily have been to Italy. using fact the warmth and humidity made me torpid, i think of i might pick France over Italy. And jointly as the two languages are eye-catching, French is prettier.

People need to realise that in life, you'll meet people of different cultures, races, beliefs and sadly people who do not support your favourite football team! You'll never get anywhere in life if you harbour hate and hold grudges against people who are not like you!Take a break from this war at least until France and Italy meet again!
