you must be stupid. china has many more people than we do and weapons we dont even know about. if you think they have done a good job of making every thing we make and doing it better and cheaper you should see the weapons they have copied and mass produced and they have more friends than we do. if they wanted to get all their gang of friends togeather we would be in deep s h i t. they already have all of our money and are buying up our land along with the japanese. i dont know where you come from but you are so off base that it is sad. sure we have always been the bad guys and have taken advantage of every country in sight but these other countries have grown up and things have changed. bush has busted the bank and all of our manufacturing jobs and plants have been moved overseas. these are the plants we turned into arms making factories long ago but they are no longer here. we dont stand a chance against the world at large. i dont know whos been blowing up your skirt but you and them are full of hot air. we are not the cowboys we once were. why dont you study up on these things and find out the sad facts? you might also want to find out how fast our oil and gas would be cut off if we really tried to take the world over. we would be sitting in empty planes and tanks. you have many things to learn. yes the world does matter mam. i was in the usmc and know how to fight and i bet you are one of the pansies that dont know much about it or what the ramifications are or maybe you think someone will do the fighting for you. you need to get a grip on reality. i dont like the dem or the rep parties. i always vote for another party. the ones that would build a strong usa and i bet you dont even know who they are. and no little girl not the commies. you need to study and find out what is what. good luck.

Leaders of countries do care about world opinion--at least those that recognize the influence of the community of nations on their respective countries' foreign policy, international trade and even domestic economies. World opinion is not equated with USA views but the American leadership's view is always counted in and considered. A possible exception maybe the case of Malaysia's Mahathir Muhammad who decided that his country's foreign policy will never be swayed by US opinion... his assertiveness made the country's economic growth go faster.

N-Korea, Iran, Venezuela, Russia, China, Palestine, Syria, Cuba , to name a few. I think they have the guts to stand up against the USA. Believe me, there are many more, just waiting in line for the US to make a wrong move.

What I remember from my National Service was the overwhelming desire of the officers to bomb the whole of USA... Except Conan O'Brien, for some reason.
Of course there are people who'd stand up, but they might have varying mental capacities. But, I don't see that as being very current, yet.

World trade center,Iraq,Bomb threats and other intimidation to make our lives hell. So when you get tired of looking over your shoulder as the situation goes from bad to worse - it might just be time to care about world opinion!
