There once was a young man from Kent,
Whose pecker was curly and bent.
So instead, to save trouble,
He put it in double,
And instead of coming, he went.

* Peyronie's Disease (PD) is the result of scar tissue forming inside the penis, causing it to curve or bend when erect or hard. The internal structure of the penis is divided into 3 compartments, and an erection occurs when 2 of these compartments, known as Copra cavernosa (erectile tissue), fill with blood.
* After an injury, a scar (hard thick fibrous material) forms in the lining that covers the erectile tissue, restricting the expansion of the penis during an erection. This scar acts like tape around a balloon, as it causes the erect penis to bend down, or point off to the side.
* Could feel a hard lump or plaque under the skin
* A lump may either occur suddenly after trauma, or take months to develop.
* Pain is a common symptom that happens when the penis is erect.
* Swelling can occur above the scar.
* Penis may be narrowed or bent.
* Multiple curves are possible.
* Base of the penis could be rigid or hard.
* Penis is not flexible.
* Impotence or loss of sexual desire can occur.
* Depression
* Marital problems
* Trauma during sexual intercourse -- accidental bending or hitting the penis may cause internal bleeding and scar formation.
* Surgery -- especially around the genitals (penis, prostate, testicles) and pelvic surgery (area of the body between the two hips)
* Genetics (abnormality of genes) -- there may be an association with another disease known as Dupuytren's contraction (scarred and curved 4th finger) linked to a protein known as HLA-B27 antigen.
* The patient's general doctor will consult with an urologist.
* History
1. Symptoms
2. Trauma
3. Surgery
4. Illnesses
5. Medications and allergies
6. Habits, especially sexual.
* A medical exam reveals a curve or scar.
* The size and shape of the penis is documented.
* There may be contractions of 4th finger.
* Test
1. Picture of the penis may be taken.
2. Urologist may inject a substance in the penis called Prostaglandin E1, and then use a machine called a Doppler (uses sound) to see the internal structure of the penile cavities.
3. Calcium deposits can be seen in old scars.
* Repeated trauma
* Urological or pelvic surgery
* Vigorous sex especially when female is on top and bending backwards
* Dupuytren's contraction
* Normally, scars or plaques slowly resolve on their own without treatment.
* Those with no symptoms are watched closely.
* Many medications, such as Vitamin E cream and Potaba have been tried, but most produce limited or no benefits.
* Injection of Verapamil (blood pressure medicine), steroids, and other medications into the scar has been known to help.
* Cholchicine and Tamoxifen (anti-cancer drugs) have been tried.
* Surgery is reserved for severe cases, because it is an extremely complex procedure. Because of this, it is usually held as a last resort.
* Contact your physician and avoid further trauma.

Theoretically, when erect, penis should be perfectly straight pointing in the right middle and a pointing up for its particular structure. Imagine the penis just as the diagonal of a virtual rectangle built on the pubis.
Underwear, mode and habit took us to keep the penis always on the left side during our life and that is one of the consequences of a little skew. Then, add that with the evolution penis sizes changed while many penises even aren’t perfectly straight but bended on different positions.
Head conformation, balls sizes and foreskin also are responsible of the orientation during the erection.
Those variations with the age just became a genetic baggage variable in the time.
Therefore, nowadays it’s almost difficult to find penis very similar.
Lastly, it depends if you intend its orientation (inclination) or just shaped with a curve during its length.
On the last case, it’s important to verify the angle’s grade.
Generally with little curve sex is possible with no problem.

Yes it is normal, and masturbating with one hand alone doesn't cause it. Your body is made of two not exactly identical halves. That's why some people have one bigger foot than the other. Same thing with penis curvature. One side is slightly longer than the other, therefore to make up the distance a curve is created. Up and downward curves are created by other means, but are just as normal.

YOur okay. All penises curve slightly some up some down some to the right some to the left. It will fit into a vagina perfectly and will only hurt your partner if she is a virgin the first time you have sex. Girls do not find penises scary. They tend to describe them in not vary masculine terms like cute, pretty, etc. So do not worry. In the mean time keep exploring your body and enjoy your penis yourself.

Shane you have a treat for the ladies. Some of the inexperienced ones may be a little surprised when they see it but, they will be smiling later. I have found curved penises to be of great pleasure. They hit the spots that the straight ones go right by! Be proud and learn to delight your lovers with your fingers and tongue and that lovely curved penis.

no, no, no! having a curved penis is perfectly normal (most if not all men have a curved penis, even if only slightly curved!). don't worry about the ladies because having a curved penis is more pleasurable for them. it contours more to the shape of the inner vagina which leads to more pleasurable sex. trust me, this is not only perfectly normal, but it's better than normal!
