this guy i like is moving soon. my friends think i should tell him before he leaves, cause they think he likes me. should i tell him? he is also my friend, so if he doesnt like me back, that would totally embarass me and make our friendship really awkward, and that would suck. should i tell him?

Straight up -- I think your friends are looking for something to gossip and laugh about.
You are friends with the guy and knowing he's leaving, you are sad to see him go. Tell him you'd like to maintain contact, exchange phone numbers and addresses. The fact is, it's really hard to maintain a long distance relationship and you are probably better off friends.
