Yeah, its Physical RAM. A stick, DDR 750 might fit in your box, or even a 1g. If you know how to work on Hardware it is easy, if PC is still under warranty, get a Factory Approved Memory stick. My box was lagging bad on a game, I added 2 750mhz Sticks, the maximum allowed for that Mobo, and whizz bang! zippy fast.
Also shut down any and all uneeded programs, thats like everything BUT the game, but carefull there, one mistake and Kapow! hard crash.
I aint sure of the URL but Viper has a pretty straightforward setup for WinXP and games.
Just add some PRam, Increase the size of the Page File, place Page File on a Sector or HDD that does not have Program files on it, and have fun.

this is criticl there are many causes of this but i amn going you some specific solution
if ram is less then 256 in case window xp upgrade it
if cpu is less then p3 upgrade this
if you have both these then there should be solution of to overcome the problem of 100% cpu usage here are the steps
1 go to my computer right click it select properties
2 in the dilog box slect advance tab
3 in the performenc certaria select settings
4 in the dilog box slect advance
5 in the bottom select virtual memory
6 in the custom size upgrade the memory size there will me maximum memory is show upgrade it as much such if there is 1000 and your current memory is about 500 upgrade it to about 800
and click set after this close the box restart the window

try to keep track of how many programs runnin in the back ground and close all those u dont need while playin the game.....
hopefully it will run better
btw check the system requirements for the game and compare them to what ur system has..... ull find system requirements file within game folder and if not then visit official warcraft site....
and for ur system well just go to control panel and then check under system ull find what ur pc is made of....

Try quitting some background programs before running thegame like the anti virus,firewall .Try reinstalling the game may be some components Tdid not get installed. try scanning your computer with an anti virus scan your pc for spywares,adwares.

ur comp cant handle warcraft, until u get some more ram or a better cpu, downgrade to starcraft.
