Get to level 5. You start to get free from it then. The mounting violations will cheese you off just enough to enable you to concentrate on your lesson plans.

Do 'Q&A' in circle time. Raise a topic (for example, 'the environment') and get them all to put a question that has always puzzled them about the topic (e.g. 'when things biodegrade, where do they go?' or 'can you see air pollution?') on a small card. Then you get to answer them yourself or hand them out tombolla style to the kids to research.
An answers fix AND a legitimate educational activity. Plus you are likely to get some very strange and random question ... there's always a 'different' child in every class (who grow up to be odd on Answers, too, by the look of some of the strange queries people ask, LOL).

If any supervisor catches you, use the excuse that I'm just checking to make sure my students haven't been plagiarizing anything or not doing their work.
Other than that, don't quit cold turkey. Just answer and vote less as each day goes on. Good luck and have fun with your students and the snot.

Bessy doesn't block yahoo answers.. I tried at school this week. (Elementary school too) But seriously- I would block of a set time that you can use as your YA time, but I think once school gets rollin you won't have time to think about YA - other than to ask a question to help you =)
Good Luck.
