No it is never too late, it is only holding back and taking notice of other peoples prejudices which may make it seem too late. You are only old on the outside the inside is up to you.

I have had MANY jobs in my lifetime and I am only 41. I have done office work, machinery jobs, assembly. I think you get the picture. I am still making the same money I did when I started my first job. It is sick. But I have just recently started my own business. And it works. Soon I will be able to quit my part-time jobs for good. I am doing great in my new business adventure. I love it. Would not given it up for nothing, such as working a full time job that goes no where. It you would like to start your own business and decide your own fate I suggest this website. I guarantee YOU will not regret it. Start today. http://automaticbuilder.com/alundberg

Don't believe it is, just more unusual. I have heard of people that have started new careers after they've retired and have gone on to make a success of them. I'm sure it is harder in many ways but easier in others. I'm sure the way society is set up it undoubtedly favours the young but I think ageism can work in both directions and while there maybe a majority of employers who are short-sightedly biased towards younger people, there's an increasingly large number that value the experience and reliability of older people. Clearly, we set our goals in direct relation to our own expectations and as result people probably discriminate against themselves more than they are actually discriminated against.

Why do a job you hate, if you are unhappy just quit.
Everyone learns new skills all through there lifetime, it is taking time out and analysing what you like and dislike and setting personal goals to achieve the career of your choice.

hell no! plenty of people went to uni with me and began a career in teaching at age 50! they will only have 10 years work but it's something they always wanted to do, had been in jobs which didn't flick their switch. When you find a job you love its so worth it. changes your whole persona as work takes up so much of your life, so you gotta do something you love.
