BTW, I live 1200 miles from him and got this info from his mother (my aunt) via e-mail. I have nothing to do with this. No different than reading about it in a newspaper. He spends his money a fast as he gets it (possibly drugs as he is known to use) so he's not rich and he and the wife live separately.

He could get into very serious trouble with the law. This practice is illegal so to do it three times is not going to impress the authorities. The money he earns from it might not cover fines, legal costs and fees and he may go to jail. In short - he is an idiot.

If he can be identified as a profiteer in a bogus marriage, he could be prosecuted and the woman deported. More than likely (i.e. more than 50% of the time) the fraudulent couple and the agent who brought them together (and got a pile of money for that) get away with it.
This goes on all the time. Often the couple does live together, perhaps in separate rooms. It is very risky (1) for them to live apart and (2) for him and you to be talking about this.
Anyone who cared to -- from the USCIS enforcement department (if they had the time and personnel) or from the police -- could trace your IP number, and identify and question you.

Legally he will be very safe and wont have anything to worry about. Morally he will suffer.
But speaking from the commercial pint of view he can get more money for getting married for visa.
