adverbs are words to describe the verbs more explicitly. they usually come after or before verbs. most adverbs end with -ly.

An adverb is a word that adds something more to the meaning of a verb. An adverb can modify a verb, an adjective or another adverb.

Example:
He sings loudly. (loudly - adverb , it's modifying a verb)

Kinds of adverb:
1. Adverbs of Time :- Adverbs of time point out the time of an action and the answer the question "when".

Example : I have already finished my work. (already - Adverb of time )

2. Adverbs of Place :- They tell us how the action took place or the manner in which it took place.

Example : They fought bravely in the battle. (bravely - Adverb of Place )

3. Adverbs of Frequency :- They show the frequency of action and answer the question "how often".

Example : I always sleep early. ( always - Adverb of Frequency )

4. Adverbs of Degree :- Adverbs of Degree are also called "intensifiers". They answer the question "how much".

Example : She is too good to hurt anyone. ( too - Adverb of Degree )

5. Interrogative Adverbs :- They are also used to ask questions about time manner and place.

Example : When does your school start? ( when - Interrogative Adverb )

6. Sentence Adverbs :- They modify the whole sentence.

Example : Obviously, it is too cold to go out. (obviously - Sentence Adverb )

7.Relative Adverbs :- They like relative pronouns refer back to their antecedent.

Example : This is the place where I was born. (where - Relative adverb)
