I love rainbows - they are so pretty. It is a spectrum of colors that takes the form of a multicoloured arc, with red on the outside and violet on the inside.Every rainbow spans a traditional spectrum of colors most commonly: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. The rainbow's appearance is caused by dispersion of sunlight as it is refracted by raindrops.
The colors of the rainbow arise from two basic facts:
Sunlight is made up of the whole range of colors that the eye can detect. The range of sunlight colors, when combined, looks white to the eye.
:o)
Light of different colors is refracted by different amounts when it passes from one medium (air, for example) into another (water or glass, for example).

"In order to have friendship you must look past the color to the soul, because within the soul lies a rainbow of many colors" The colors of a rainbow have always been associated with friendship. In fact the colors of rainbow have been termed as the colors of friendship. It is said that the colors of rainbow symbolize the different aspects of friendship.
The Rainbow was originally a promise made between God and Noah. Noah made a sacrifice to God, and God resolved that he would never again curse the ground because of man, and never again would He destroy all life on it in this manner. Genesis chapters 6 to 9

I believe that the rainbow contains all colors of visible light and you can therefor name the colors any way you like, no matter how others have named them before you.

uncertain... the Bible by no ability refers back to the seven colorings. guy is the only that has labled the seven colorings of the rainbow. in certainty the completed spectrum has been refracted, so we would desire to continuously say that a rainbow has an infinite style of colorings.
