Getting a B average with an engineering degree will assure you of employment, while a B average with a science degree has limitted opportunities. eg. Bio, Chem, Phys.
The exception is Computer Science and Math.
Of course, an 'A' average in any Bachelor program may not lead directly to employment, it does set you up for continuing on to post graduate degrees. eg. Med., MBA, LLB, Master, PhD

Depends...
Do you want spend your days looking stuff up in catalogs to find parts matching the specs your project needs, then filling out requisition forms that your company will probably deny? Go engineering.
Or do you want to spend all your time trying to get your experiment to do what you expect, then trying to get the results published in a journal nobody will read? Go pure science.

in my opinion it's better to take engineering... you will find it easier, more easy-going and plus it's not as comlpicated as pure science. also, you will find it easier a job!
