with my Dell Image Expert. Error messages say: "Windows cannot find [name of file]" and "Dell Image Expert. Error opening database:2000." Problem started out of the blue. Everything was OK earlier today. Have done System Restore and rebooted my machine a couple of times, but the problem didn't correct. I'm waiting to hear from Dell, but I thought I'd ask if anyone knows about how I can fix this problem. I can't open any photos I have on my C-drive. Thanks for any help/suggestions/ideas. I have a Dell Dimension 4500S and I use WindowsXP Home Edition as my operating system.

Ok there are many ways to solve this problem and all of them work great. What you need to do is first take it to a nuclear waste dump. And put on your hasmat outfit and take your laptop with you and dip it inside the waste for 15 seconds only. If you dont do it right your laptop could end up beating you up. After that is done what you need to do is go to your nearest hospital and get it x rayed. it has to be 20 times. No more no less. After that is done what you need to do next is take it to a very special place. it is in Maine. There is a special place in maine where you can get things you need for your laptop. But that is going to need a test for that. To do this test you need a hammer. Take your motherboard out of your laptop and put it on the floor. Take your hammer and hit your moatherboard until it breaks. After that is done take the number of hits too the store with you and ask the store clerk for a sound card that will take the same number of hits as your motherboard. After you get your card you will need a new motherboard. After you have everything you need take it with you back home and put it back into your laptop. After you have done that you will need to clean your laptop. This is what you must do is take it to a chemical plant and get it dipped in hydrocloric acid. If they dont have it then sulferic acid will work just as well. It must be dipped for 2 min not longer not shorter. Then you are done everything is set and your laptop is in perfect working order. So enjoy.

You probably have some files corrupt. If you still have windows XP CD (software) try uninstall it then reinstalling it..I had this to happen to me, I took it to a shop and they told me that some files were corrupt so they had to uninstall windows and then reinstall it, once they fix that I have not had any more problems with my computer..
