The real santa claus whose actual name was St Nicholas. He was a Bishop of Myra (present day turkey). He was imprisoned by the roman emperor Theodosius and finally released by christian emperor constantine. after his release he went on to help the poor.

You bet he does! Every Christmas Eve, my kids leave shortbread cookies, a nice bottle of rum and some eggnog out for him, and every Christmas morning, he has finished off the whole lot.
