I have seen two types. Ones that have had tendencies since an early age by no external influence. The second have been abused i.e. male on male sexual abuse or female to female. The question is why would a male or female have same sex tendencies from birth? Than again we have children born every day born with much worse problems with no explanation so its difficult to say. A sickness however I could only apply to an abused child who develops these emotions based on those negative experiences.

no, it should not be considered a sickness, but it is a factor both hereditary and environmental...there is no cure for homosexuality, just as there is no cure for either kind of human sexual drive...the sooner the world learns there are way more important questions in the world to be raised than whether or not homosexuals are the devil, the better.

It's a sexual perversion, just like pedophilia and bestiality. Gay rights advocates like to say that homosexuality is okay because they don't choose to be that way. Last time I checked, no one chose to have a compulsive attraction to little boys either, but that didn't make it okay. I don't think there is a cure for homosexuality, but that doesn't mean homosexuals can't live pure lives. The difference between gays and pedophiles is that gays are doing something between two consenting adults, whereas pedophilia is an attack on a minor. Nevertheless, they still all come from the same family of sexual perversions, and just because homosexuality is permitted by law, doesn't make it morally right.

No, it's a personal preference.

This isn't about liking gays, or promoting the stereotypical gay culture. Some men just prefer to be intimate with men, and some women just prefer to be with women.

Most suffer from a whole shítload of personal problems, but it doesn't make their personal preferences a sickness.

A man being aroused by another man is no more a sickness than a man being aroused by a woman's long legs disappearing up into a tiny skirt.

If your question is a serious one here is my humble opinion. The human body is basically a machine. Valves ,pipes and fluids that make everything work. So there you are making a car and you need to have either a stick shift or a automatic but the computer that is building the car is not fully under a design. So there it is just creating, well if you get a little to much stick shift juice while its making an automatic that car just might slip in to being a shift.
So in respective if you get to much man juice while your making a woman you just might get a woman that like women, and vice versa.

So to speak. Something must have happened during childhood or adolescence to alter the natural sexual instincts of the person. And it is very normal for people to even block these incidents out, so they may have the notion that they were born homosexual. Many people don't want to let some past occurence corrupt their sexuality so they struggle and overcome homosexuality. For other people, sadly, it is far too deeply rooted in their psyches, and they just don't have the strength of mind (or desire) to overcome homosexuality. They do what feels good and they can be radically defensive of their lifestyle.
Not to offend anyone, but i actually think that sexual relations between cousins (not that i in any way condone that!) is a much more normal thing (normal as in acceptable) than sexual relations between men.

Nope. Not according to virtually the entire psychological, sociological and medical community. Not to the credible authorities. Not to those people and organizations and institutions that actually know what they're talking about.

It's not a disease, disorder, derangement, dysfunction, maladjustment, sickness, illness, confusion, phase, perversion or paraphilia.

If you ask the Catholic church if it's a sickness, they'll probably tell you "yes"... of course, they're about as qualified to make that kind of statement as a concert pianist who tries to tell you what's mechanically wrong with your car.

As in a disease? No. I live and let live. If someone finds love and a kindred spirit in another person then so be it. This world is tough enough to go through with a partner, much more alone. My attitude is, if you don't ask me what I do in my bedroom, then I won't ask what you do in yours.

NO! These people are real people that just happen to be different from the majority of people in certain ways that are in general socially unacceptable.. They are not sick, they are just doing what comes naturally to THEM. In my opinion, I think they are born that way.
