Actually Management is a Social Organ. As the organization amalgamate with the social system, both society and organization start striking the balance. As a result, organization gets everything from the external source, i.,e society, in its favor towards achieving the organizational objective. By developing various programs that would help the society in which the organization is situated, not only the organization but also the society shall mutually get benefited.

advantages:

recruting: one of my friends who was studying to become a priest actually choose to join Hewitt Packard because they had employee groups that were socially active.

those individuals, who work together well within the social group they belong to within the company, will have a tendency and the extra motivation to work extra well together on the same projects esp across depts. and subdivisions. bec they have become "friends" with the same cause - psychology 101.


disadvantage:

divisiveness: one or more individuals working at the company who despise a social group that is working an agenda that is abhorred to them such as helping HIV-AIDs victims might be just as uncooperative -- again psych 101.
