Because in my opinion, they are the very best shoes!! I always try on several pairs of different brands when I shop for tennie shoes. I always end up with Nike. They are ssssoooooo comfortable! Bin Laden is always on the run and probably figures he needs the best fastest most comfortable running shoes to make his getaways. Some people answered that it is not an American company. Whether it really is American or not I am not really sure. I also wanted to tell you that since you like Joaquin Phoenix you should see the movie "Walk the Line." I never was a big Johnny Cash fan or country music fan and Johnny Cash's singing never appealed to me, but despite all this, I really really liked Walk the Line. It is a really great movie! Both Reese Witherspoon and Joaquin Phoenix are really wonderful in the movie and their vocals are great (loved their singing)! There was never a boring moment. They are both great singers, entertainers and actors and the story is really great. Phoenix brings great intensity to the movie! If you see it and don't enjoy it, I promise that I will eat my hat. Really will, and as you can see it's a really big hat. :-o

First -- NIKE is 100% American...not Japenese...it was invented by an American, even though now it is outsourced. Now, to answer the question -- because in reality this is a small world and we are all connected one way or another. The world does not care for the ignorance of people who try to say or do things to separate it. You can scream all you want at the sun not to set -- and it will still set. Bin Laden is standing in front of the world screaming "We are separate" and the world is still one. What the TV does not show you is -- he probably wears Fruit of the Loom Underwear too.
