Who else do you think will be able to portray a better Captain Jack Sparrow than Johnny Depp? Not that I'm saying Johnny wasn't great in his role or anything, but just curiously wondering if any other actors out there can take over his place.
** In my opinion, I think this role was made for Johnny Depp and no one else can replace him. I don't think anyone else can play a sexier, funnier, and totally irresistible pirate like Depp did. =) **

I agree. There is absolutely NO ONE else who could have play Captain Jack the way Johnny did. He just made the character so sexy but absolutely mental at the same time. Gotta love Johnny.
It was actually Johnny's idea to play Captain Jack the way he did. The director didnt want him to at first, but Johnny said that if he couldn't play Jack this way then he wouldn't do it at all. I woulda caved to Johnny as well lol

NO ONE could have portrayed Jack Sparrow like Depp. Kudos to him and to the casting director for Pirates 1 & 2.
BTW my hubbie & I were most impressed with Naomie Harris as the voodoo lady in 2.
CANNOT WAIT for 3 to come out next summer, and I'll be torn between the instant gratification of the box set available this Christmas or waiting for all three.

I saw an interview where JD said he modelled himself on Keith Richards from the Rolling Stones for the role of Jack Sparrow.
I thought he was brilliant in it
