It is definitely a great artist, but I believe you might be mistaken on a couple of points.
It think nature does care who sees and appreciates it. Why else would butterflies be so beautiful? And dragon flies. And birds. And flowers.
I also believe that nature does advertise. Flowers are beautiful as advertisements for the bees and other insects and the hummingbirds to come sample the sweetness. Women are beautiful to advertise their sweetness.

Nature is greatest artist that is why we call it Mother Nature. As you have said a word "stupid" in your question, so I would like to give an instance that If any person dig a well for the thirsty people that will be automatically appreciated, right ? AND if anybody commite sucide in that well then How that man is responsible for his death ? So how do you call "stupid" Can you create all the beauty of nature. If you are having capability you can ask anything to mother nature. Just widened your vision. Be broadminded. See a very kind of God in every work. God Bless You.

Natures canvas is the landscape for the rain to create another original piece
The sun to dry the forever changing colours with each day being a new picture to view and each evening a new story to be told
Life fills each picture with emotion, lessons and rewards for the story to unfold for tomorrows reader
