there is a guy i like who is also my friend.. and he knows that i like him but not how much. I know as a friend he really cares for me and he tells me everything from the most personal things to day to day simple things. and yesterday we had a house party at his house and he was grinding with me. he keeps huggin me and holding my hand. he really bugs me when we are in company and hes fine when we are alone. he goes and says like the most nicest things about me to other people. but doesnt say it to me. oh he is such a puzzle..!

haven't you all ready asked this question? Well anyway, why don't you ask him. For all you know he may be to shy. Plan the right way to do it for you- whether that be on the phone, face to face, through a hand written letter, email or msn...whichever is best for you, the point is that you do it and get it out in the open of your relationship.
Just remember of all the great possibilities, that's why you should do it.

He could be trying to prove something in front of others. Hence the different trearments with others around and without.
What is stopping you from being frank with him when you are alone with him? You will then have your answer, if he's frank with you.
Sometimes you have to make the first move to show your interest. Most boys will not dare to go further for fear of rejection, as you have not indicated to him how much you like him.

Isn't holding hands meaning you already are in a relationship with him? Haha. I don't have any "girl" friends so I guess I won't know. Ask him, he'll say yes 100% of the time.

He likes you and is either shy, doesn't know it or is not sure how you feel. If you like him, make the move yourself. I do not think he will ask you out. I am like that. I lost someone.
