my glasses is broken lately and i need to get a new one. but there's a problem. i'm kinda fat, and i finally decided to lose weight. i'm afraid that if i get a new pair of glasses, and if i do lose weight sucessfully in the next few months, the new glasses wouldn't fit my face. so i'm thinking i should get contact lens instead. do you think it's a good idea?

I think for right now you should get the contacts because you can go back and get the glasses because you optometrist is suppose to write you a prescription for both..please get the glasses though because you are suppose to give your eyes a break from the contacts every once in a while

try out some contacts. if you dont like them, just go back to glasses. if you do lose the weight you want to, then just get a new pair of glasses.

I love my contacts, but they can be problematic. You can always get glasses adjusted, if you loose weight. The shape of the frames is chosen to the curve of your eyebrow, the width of your nose, the shape of your eye, but not the bulge of your cheeks. So glasses would be OK. But seeing yourself through contact lenses without glasses really boosts your self esteem which can help you loose weight. It is part of the new you. Of course, you are the best judge of your own lifestyle.

My son has terrible eyes and at age 16 I let him try contacs. He has never gone back to glasses. but he really needs both if you can afford it . the glasses sure would come in handy like when he forgets to go and get contacs and they don't have any in stock and he has to do with out anything for a few days. Yeah that sucks. But his eyes are not getting any worse now. and maybe he can have the lazer surgery and get permanently fixed vision becasue of the contacs.

well, contact lenses are good for up to 8-10 hours only. Prolonged use can cause harm to your eyes and raise the chances of infection. If you need to have good vision more than that most days, go with glasses.
plus if you are in your mid 20s up, you can opt for laser eye surgery.

You could try contacts, but it's good to have a pair of glasses just in case you need to see in a pinch but don't have your contacts in yet.

from my experience

it is too better for your eyes to put glasses

but for your look it is better to put lenses

so when u r at home and no body with u put the glasses but when are going out to work or school or with friends or what ever put the lenses put dont put it all the time .
