How do I fix this???

I've plugged it in but there is no light for the power button and absolutly nothing happens when I press the power button

The PS2 may be faulty. How old is it? The main power lead my not be in right or theirs been a power cut. Maybe the mains adapter plug is faulty or broken, the fuse in the plug may have blown.

During normal operation of PS2 at first the red light will light up and you have to hold the button for two seconds continuously before it turns green so that the system gets on. Try holding the button for a few seconds continuously to see if the system is getting on. If not take it to a service station.
