yes but when you use seeds take a small pot and dig an inch or more and insert it softly , cover it with a soft subsoil and make sure there are no bugs in the mud or no weeds , water it the next day and then cover it with a white translucent paper and give it some air each day, do not put them out in direct sunlight , when small saplings come up show them either a light from strong bulb or expose them for a minute or so to sunlight and keep going like this till you have a brown branch in it and you will get fuchsias growing in your house as many as you like
happy gardening

Yes you could use the seed but why? It may not come true and takes ages.

If you want to propergate more. Take about half a dozen cuttings of the plant about 4 inches long. Use the new green growth not the woody growth.

Cut just below a leaf nodual. Dip your cuttings in hormone rooting powder and then push the cutings around the outside edge of a 3 or 4 inch flowwer pot full of moist compost. Firm the compost and keep watered. Make sur you have taken all flower buds off the cuttings.

In a few weeks you will notice they are growing then you can pot the up.

You should be able to grow fuschia plants from the pods by scraping off the flesh and planting the seed at 65F to 70F. However, if you are growing hybrid plants, these may not breed "true." You can take cuttings of the plants to propagate them, or you can get seed. One source for seed is at http://www.richfarmgarden.com/fuschia.html.

They can be grown from seed - but it is difficult and to do sucessfully - I would not bothered unless you are really determined.
