There are sounds that teens hear better than old people (by old I mean over 25) In fact the 7-11 chain has purchased a box called 'Mosquito' which emits a high-pitched whine which is audible to teens, and young people but not to older folks. They play the sound to discourage teens from loitering around their stores. People's hearing, especially of higher frequencies fades with age.
As far as the ring tone- -just because I never heard of it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Do some Googling, maybe YOU can find it. Good Luck.

While I haven't heard of a ringtone only teens can hear, the principle behind it does exist. I've read recently about a "loitering repellant". Basically there is a buzzing noise that only teenagers and a very small amount of adults can hear. The convenience store or whatever location plays it and it annoys teens. They leave. Most other people won't hear it.

It's a very high pitched sound that older people cannot hear because they have lost that part of their hearing. If you are thinking about using it in class, and you have a young teacher, you could be in trouble.
