As prevention is better than cure, it is better to do something before one gets mad. Patience is the remedy for this, instead of getting mad you can analysis the problem more carefully and solve it with a calm mind.

Count to ten . Hold your breath. Leave the environment or avoid or ignore the person or situation causing you to be mad. Sing. This drives my girls up the wall because they know I'm really angry when I start singing.

In your head say, "Ignore it, Ignore it, Ignore it.." Then, if that really doesn't work...tell the person you are mad at why you are mad. If it's a person that is making you angry anyway..

I shout a curse word. Then I try to think my problem(s) out as rationally as I can. Just getting mad doesn't fix ANYTHING. (Unfortunetly.)
