I'm from persia(iran),at first excuse me because of may english.delicious foods.our country in the map of the world just look likes a cat.our capital:tehran. our historical cityes:Shiraz , Esfahan,Yazd.our religious cyties,to pilgrimes:Mashhad,Ghom.our first religion was: Zardoshtism(one of the first religions of the world).we have more than 2500 years written history.1400 years ago Arabs attacked on our country.and changed our history and religion,but we saved our culture. our famous kings:Kourosh,Dariush,Ardeshir,Yazdgerd,etc our famous poets:Ferdowsi,Molana(Roomi),Hafez,etc. note:we like life,just like the other people of woeld,so iranian people does not support terror or some thing like that ;)

If you mean ancient Persians -
The famous rulers were Cyrus, Xerxes & Darius the Great.
The 1st ruler was the one who established the Perisan empire by conquering the Babylonians.
The 2nd ruler was famous for his invasions of Greece.
The 3rd ruler is the same Darius mentioned in the Bible - the one who befriended Daniel.
The Perisan empire was ultimately invaded & defeated by Alexander the Great in 300+BC, was subsequently ruled by the Parthians & was renamed Iran by the Shah of Iran in the 1950s or 1960s

i myself am Iranian . out country locate at middle east in a geopolitcal and srategic place . for this reason , greeks , Arabs , mongols, Rusia attack our country. Iran is a country that we have very much water in north and west but very little or nothing in south and this is one of our problems . offcourse a cannal transport water from west to center. we have oil and gas very much and this cause misfourtune because people have used sell oil and buy everything and we did not make tools. we have over population . our goverment do not know what to do.we very political, cultural , economical problems. for this reason very fellow country miggrate to abroad. we have industrail factory but sorry they are depond to imperialism.i do not know what you mean from building. i hope this is useful for you. best wishes.

I have a friend who is from there --very nice. The food is very interesting. The buildings are very beautiful and rich in decoration. I'm sorry this doesn't really answer your question but I thought the coincidence was interesting. . .
