It is not a sea water. Actual it is the river water of Mithi which has not mixed so well with the sea water. I can guarantee you now, that the same place must be saltier now. This is just seasonal phenomena.

who tells you that mumbai sea water is turned to sweet water. it is wrong. when u tested sea water you must have a ulcers on your mouth so it tested to sweet one.

i heard that its bcoz of the rains.Salt water of the sea is denser than rain water which is pure.so the dense sea water settled down below the lighter rain water.Hence the water is tasting less salty i.e sweeter.Dont u think this is quite a scientific and logical explanation?
