You kind of sound like Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam, lol. They say that too. I know what you mean though and I feel bad about that. Even asians and hispanics are disrespectful to blacks and a lot of them weren't even born here themselves. I'm sorry you feel this way you sound like a very intelligent young woman. I sympathize with and understand what your saying...that is the only comfort I can offer you unfortunately. I don't treat anyone bad that doesn't treat me bad first. We have a lot of inhumane stupid people inhabiting the earth and have for ages. Segregation is not the answer though.
JUDYR8- If your telling this girl to just go back to Africa, why don't you just go back to Israel.

I am Canadian and I have to say that from what it looks like to me when I visit your country I don't see any real evidence of integration at all. If there had been integration, then yes, of course it would have been a very good thing, but to my eyes black and white are still very divided in the USA, and it is very much to the detriment of your society.
In this electronic day and age communities are not necessarily defined by geographic boundaries, and if I were an African American living in the USA I would be working very hard towards building a solid community of people connected through modern communication mediums. In some ways I think there are fewer barriers set up against you that way than there are throughout just about every other institution in your country.
but in some ways I also think that an even worse demon facing African Americans is reverse racism. I don't like hearing people using words that I am not allowed to use as a white person, I don't think it will help if you draw your childrens attention to the differences between blacks and whites and emphasize those differences, and it doesn't help when afro-americans are chastized by their own communities when they step outside the supposed boundaries of their people. It is definitely hard to be a minority, but you can turn it into a strength rather than a liability if you have patience, tolerance, understanding, education, and unity. Perhaps you could start a fund that will aim to put a computer with online access in the jail cell of every afro-american in prison (maybe with limited or blocked porn access) with online classes so that they have access to knowledge and education beyond their cell block or their ghetto.
I know I sound down on the possibilities for healthy integration within the USA, and I admit sometimes it seems unlikely to happen from what I can see. But what is most important is that you don't put limits on your children, what they can do, where they can go. And don't let anyone else do it either.
additional:
wow, now that I've read some of the other responses to your comments I can see what you're talking about even more clearly. what a bunch of paternalistic, bigoted jerks with a superiority complex. you have my sympathy.

All the cultures of the world are mixing at this point. Let go of feeling insecurity and resentment caused by real and perceived racism. I understand it is a heavy burden to bear. When it comes down to it, everyone deals with this type of thing. We are all constantly facing judgement and classification. I've noticed that, if I let go of insecurities and live like no one is judging me, they actually stop judging me.
I'm a white guy. I dated a black girl before and it was sad to think that when she went into a jewelry store in this day and age she had to feel the extra wary eyes of the sales people on her. I can see how that would really get to you. It gets to me just thinking about it. But don't let it become an us vs them. I hope you rise above it and know that we are all people first and descendants of our past cultures and races second. See through those jewelry sales people and just think of them as silly people not white people. White people who are making judgements about all the stuff that happens to be wrong in the "black community" aren't walking around thinking badly about you all day. Don't let these thoughts have much power over you. I'm glad I don't walk around worrying about the image of the "white community". I would hate to be judged by a bunch of idiots who make the news. I have enough in my personal life to worry about!
Well hope this helps.

I can't believe you are saying this. I love you. I never pick on you. I'm sorry some white people took your ancestors here, it was a major atrocity, but I really enjoy your company. I love being around people of different cultures/races. I've been to West Africa. I'm going again this Dec/Jan.
Ohhh, I just read your info, and it says you're from Kentucky... I think maybe you're feeling that way because of the State you're in? I lived in the south for a while and yeah, it was pretty bad. I understand.

Why are you accusing white of racism when you are clearly being racist yourself? I don't know of any white people that do or say the things that you mention above, and think that there is more racism enacted against white people than there is against anybody else in this country. It's not ok for you to get mad at us because we've turned into huge ******* and handed you the chance to just blend in and not be discriminated against, and all you've done is continued blaming us for problems that are unique to individuals. If a black man commits a crime, he gets the same sentence as any white man who commits the crime, but the the black guy will probably tell the news that it's all because he's black. I'm well aware of all the shortcomings of white people in this country, along with the shortcomings of all other people in this country. Discrimination is a thing of the past and people just need to wake up and realize that nobody cares what race you are anymore, but if you can't accept that and keep accusing us of it, a lot of people just give up and start doing it. I hate the racial issues in this country because they're blown way the **** out of proportion. Everyone is too blind to see it because they're too busy trying to be politically correct and non-offensive. **** that bullshit.

Actually a lot of white people feel the same way. If we all want to live here we need to find a way to accept each other. I think as time goes by race becomes less of an issue or just a different issue.

I think the world is trying to change.Maybe I see somethin that's not there but I don't think so.I've raised my children to judge a person by their actions not their color. My children see people. My daughter{step} has even gone so far as to try and teach her grandfather to stop judging people on color.I think the children of today are speaking out against racism and I'm proud that 2 of them are mine.I see YOU and not your COLOR.I hate that our ancestors made such a mistake and wish that it never happened, but to make it better I will teach anyone who feels this way that HATE is never a good thing and that the world should love .

I think it was a God-ordained idea. There is only one race--the human race. It is the will of God that we come to understand that. We can't do that if we're divided. It's not easy. It's difficult. But, anything worth attaining takes work.
I am so sorry that my ignorant white brothers/sisters are this way. I pray that you will join the Baha'is in erradicating racism in the world. In our world, it doesn't exist. We live together as one family. People who were racist, after investigating the Baha'i Writings have experienced the miracle of having their hearts changed, and now even intermarry, because they understand that we are all just different hues of the one race--the human race, and we understand that a new, more perfect, race of man will be the result of the mixing of the races.
If you know what/who you are, and you know God approves of you, you need no one else's approval.
Don't waste your energy on getting mad at them. If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. The solution is the Baha'i Faith. Please investigate it.
It's NOT okay for them to pick on you; but, vengeance is God's. What goes around, comes around. Don't think they're not paying for their behaviour. The Great Accountant in the sky has it all down on crystalite. They shall be punished for what they do, and you will be rewarded for what they do to you. You shall be first, they shall be last. (Not only in the next world; but, here, as well.)
God doesn't want us to be separate. We are His children. We are brothers and sisters--like it or not. And as the human race matures, it'll mature into a unified race. (Just like siblings fight; but, eventually grow out of their childish ignorance.
Hang in there, Baby. Please email me if you want. I feel your frustration. But, I believe with all my heart and soul, the solution does exist. Just, please search it out on my source.

I am so sick of racism. black people say its whites, but not always, blacks are very hateful also. you get tired of what the whites say, well what about what the blacks say, and dont be with a black man, you get the nasty comments, and dirty looks.blacks and whites are picking on each other, its just not a black thing.I think many whites would separate themselves from you, if they could, but really is that the answer? how about getting along and loving one another, and stopping this hatred.

"They complain about everything we do like rap or hip hop, our basketball skills, basically our heritage."
You actually think those things are your heritage? Given that you think your heritage consists of basketball, rap and hip hop I don't think anyone can even answer your question because I doubt you could even begin to comprehend their answer. And before you start to think that I'm just another "Racist", let me say that I would make a similar response to a white person who thought "nascar, blue grass, and heavy metal" were their culture.
Based on the structure and reasoning in your post, I'd have to say any discrimination you are experiencing is most likely related more to your level of intelligience than your "heritage".
