I've asked something similar to this already but I hope I can phrase it better this time.
I've seen people who are obviously upset about something asking questions. Wouldn't it be a good idea to look and see what their other Q & A are like? It would be a good way to see if they are normally rude or not. If they have only asked one or maybe two questions that sounds angry then it suggests they're having a bad night/day or that someone else here has offended them. If their answers are generally helpful then it suggests that they're having some problem and are letting off steam.
Even if someone says something like 'you're all idiots here' I think it suggests that they're frustrated about something or someone, and it isn't really directed at everyone here. Having seen some of the answers I can see why someone would get mad and ask an angry sounding question. I don't see why anyone would want to make them feel worse.

Sometimes I look, sometimes I answer a question at face value. Depends on how I feel. If I read a question (or statement) that I don't particularly like, I'll just move on to the next one. It's no big deal. I don't get offended or put off, I'm just here for fun. If I learn something along the way, then that's a good thing too.

Personally, I give rude answers to the people who really are idiots on this site. I hate questions that aren't questions. I hate when people phrase it as a question, but then the details show you, "Oh, they're just trying to prove they're right." Example: See YOUR "question". I hate when people can't type or spell or use grammar. And I hate when people use questions to complain about the rude answers, because really, that just restarts the cycle. If 12 year olds were banned from sites where they can interact with people who AREN'T 12, cretins would stop reproducing, and people would check their spelling (There's spell check RIGHT THERE!), there would be a lot less "rude" answers on this site.

i agree with you to a point, but a lot of times its just easier to answer the question than to go digging around for the reason that someone MIGHT be upset....

I come here when I'm bored and want something to do...and it doesnt really bother me what people say on here...

How are you going to answer a question without looking and deciding whether you want to answer it. Then there is an explanation box for them to explain if they want too. Asking question and giving answers are expressions of feeling to get satisfaction.

Yes I do agree. I do that sometimes. You get to find out a little bit on what these people are about.

Mercy I think you are taking this much, much too seriously. It has been my experience that Polls and Surveys isn't exactly the place for anal retentives to enjoy themselves....
