I used to love to go to Makati when I was in Manila. But, just a word of advice, Manila is a huge city, with a huge amount of poverty, so be careful when navigating it. I was advised when I did this to only take taxis that were called up or owned by the hotels that I was staying at in order to alleviate any robberies. I used to take one of the hotel taxis to Makati in the early evening, eat dinner, dance, and then the same taxi would come and pick me up at 2:00 a.m. and take me back to my hotel. I had a great time. There's also great shopping there in the daytime.

Depends who you are. If you are an older foreign white guy, and want to meet some ladies, but not some show lounge, then this nice bar in Ermita is the place to start out with....a really comfortable place called the L A Cafe....meet lots of foreigners, men mostly, and meet several girls playing pool and willing to hook up with you....they dont allow the girls to pressure you there.

manila is always nice...intramuros, malate...but makati is just 20 minutes away at night. ayala commercial is the best. "been there, done that!" is what ur going to say to ur friends if u've been there. one alternative is alabang, close to ayala in makati but less crowd. one more is libis and if u go futher up... Antipolo. maybe you prefer lower temps... Tagaytay mate! not a boring place during weekends.

If you enjoy the nightlife and you're 18 years old or older, you should go to the MALATE or MAKATI area.
You can also try EMBASSY bar in the Fort, lots of models and foreigners hang out there.
In Makati, you can go to the GREENBELT area.

baywalk is better to go at night than during the day. actually, thats the best time to go there. its really nice.
as for clubs and pubs, i recommend the embassy club. very nice.

Saguijo's in Makati City (Manlia) a great spot for some really good underground bands.

Baywalk is nice if you enjoy the smell of fresh sewage. If you want to see the squatters, and pick pockets go for a walk almost any where .

for night life try the ermita area, lots of nice bistros, comedy club, bars. coffee joint. still the best in my opinion

breakwater, but it stinks.
by the way the best strip club is pegasus, along quezon avenue in quezon city
