--I think of how my auntie suffered, back in the late 1970s to early 1980s, how she was under 3 1/2 years of virtual house arrest because she made the god-awful mistake of coming with her then-husband to Riyadh, while he was on assignment there from Boeing to teach these folks to run and maintain their own 747 fleet.....I think of how cruel a people must be, that they have to lock women up for not wearing a *pile of laundry* out in public, even though the women a) aren't even Muslim, or b) are in fact visiting the nation on the *good word* of employers and the United States that "Saudi Arabia is safe and civilized" when it clearly isn't!
Or....
--I think of all the mindless violence, all the mindless zealotry that gets paraded endlessly in front of us in the media. Really, if you just do your research on Arabs or on the world of Islam on the basis of *television* you will get the impression that it is all a madhouse....whether that is a true impression of Arabs or of the Media, I leave that to you because Yahoo doesn't like it when I don't suck up to dictators and such....
And truthfully, some of our own, home-grown zealots aren't too much better, really, the Dominionists and Evangelicals *would* be the Taliban if they could......
So yeah, I don't have a lot of happy thoughts when that word comes up, ok? And I suppose somebody is going to get their damn panties in a twist and report me and have me *keyworded* for a Violation just for *my* exercising *my* freedom of speech within the borders of *MY* nation. I mean, I am only telling the truth as best as I see it, ok...?
Geez, if my existence irritates you that much, get help. If I have to, then why not you?

I'm an Arab and i think of my family and i try not to think of all the fighting over there in what my family calls the old country
