Only a baby grass snake about 3 inches long. I don't like snakes but this didn't concern me at all. I picked it up and took it to the far side of the yard.

Yep, about ten years in the past, had a cobra snake, it changed into around the verandah section...it curled up below a seat and my dogs changed into barking at it...imagine it got here from a swampy section close to my domicile. I keep in concepts my dad, uncle and grandfather took a stick, broom, and spade, to conquer the existence out of it...of route did not recognize what to do with it, in view that there have been no zoos or organic world sanctuaries round, and protecting it changed into not an decision as catching it changed into way out of concepts....i have self assurance sorry for it now...yet although, it ought to have harmed others if it changed into enable off.

yes , 3 times at 2 different houses. 1 time i was able to kill the snake, a blacksnake. 1 time it got away, there was a large crack under the door, he got back outside and disapeared before i could find something and kill it(a blacksnake ,also).

most recent, a snake got into my house and was under the kitchen sink, he could go from under sink to top of dishwasher. i never could kill him. about 2 days later i found a dead snake in my yard. the dogs had killed him. he was chewed up.

luckily me/wife/kids are not scared of them. we dont like to be surprised by them, but nobody was really concerned.

i caught one at my mothers house one time on a rat glue board. actually 2 glue boards side-byside. the snake was coming and going inside and out. after he escaped me a few times, i learned his route. i put glueboards down, funneled his escape route by placing boxes, and caught him. it was a small chicken snake. he was still alive on the board, i killed him too.
