They just talk about the same things, clubs, sex, sex, clubs, booty's, cars, rims, rims, rims, sex, sex, clubs, sex, clubs, and sex. Whatever happened to real music, where you had to have talent to play, and not just a bunch of loops. Music should have feeling, and be different from each artist. Every rap music video and song is exactly the same. I hope some of you will agree with me.

If your only experience of hip-hop is through MTV, BET or radio, then you're lacking in expertise and your criticism sounds like hate. In the 80's, it was easy for people to catergorize and stereotype rockers as all being the same. Poison was no Metallica and 50 Cent is no Rakim. Everyone knows the average radio single is the BS, club, get the ladies moving cut on the album. There are "performers" who rely on these singles and radio spins to go on tour and ride it for as long as possible. Then there are artists like Eminem, who records the first single for his album last. This is why he makes these dumb-*** singles, for those like you who eat it up and quality tracks for the consumer. The commercial nonsense is for the kids. It sounds like your hating how the marketing skills of certain moguls has hip-hop everywhere.

I like rap but some of it is degrading. Kanye West is good. Not all rap talks about women and material things. Hell, most music has it's negativity. Some heavy metal music look like suicidal stuff and devil worshiping. Look at Marilyn Manson. Don't blame just rap music.

If you don't like it, just don't f-ing listen. I hate country, but I don't talk sh-t on it. Everyone has their own style. I love metal and I know a lot of people hate that music, but I don't care what people think. To me, it's the best music and if someone doesn't like it, oh well. Quit acting like a geezer and just listen to your own music. Besides, you are the one sitting and watching it and listening to it.

I'm white and grey, and so is my avatar, just not in the same way. Sorry I dissagree. "It's got a good beat, Dick Clark, I give it a ten!" Dude, I thought I was old. You sound like my dad when he was putting down the Doors.

I think listening to rap is like shopping at a thrift store. You might be able to find something nice, but you're going to have to look real hard and you may get dirty in the process.

I feel you. That's why I decide to not listen nor watch anymore (in some ways, it's degrading), and focus on old skool R&B and rap, not to mention other genres now. I miss those days.

not all rap sucks. i just cant stand rappers that think they are so gangster and ghetto in their $60,000,000 mansions. i think most of the mainstreamed rap sucks but occassionly you will find a good song. ...its all about what you like
