It depends on what you believe. Sometimes, when we are truly grieving for someone, we can manifest their appearance by wishing for it very hard. I myself, believe that people visit me in my dreams, for one reason or another. I remember when my grandmother was ill, and became unconscious, and then passed, I was left with such a feeling of utter emptiness, as I never got to hug her goodbye. Some time after she died, I had a dream of her, and before I awoke, I got to hug her. It was the most awesome feeling, and I was able to come to terms with her leaving me behind. (I still cry when I think of this...). I am sorry for your loss, and I hope that you will find the ability to heal in time. It's a different length for everyone, so don't rush things if you are not ready. Be open, and let your spirit and love flow through to them, and they will find ways of bringing you peace. Trust me. You may find little things out of place, crooked pictures on the walls, you may not even realize what is happening. Some sources say that we tend to find coins when others that have passed are thinking of us, or wanting to tell us something. I find coins all the time. My grandmother was very much in to butterflies. After she died, I was inundated with them all around my house. It was odd, because they didn't tend to be in my part of town. Be at peace, and remember, they are there for you.

This all depends on your beliefs. My mom and dad have passed also. Though I don't seem to sense dad, I do with mom. I think this also depends on how much you are open to it. There are times when I will do something and I can almost hear mom commenting on it. Is that her or just what she might have said? Either way , it is comforting and I choose to believe she is with me. I think dad is to busy up there. Only once in a great while do I "feel" him or sense him.
