Depends on how old he was when he committed his crimes. Juvenille offenses are not public record, the rest of them are. Although a parent/guardian can obtain juvenille records through your local police department or courthouse. Simply go down to your local courthouse, fill in a request and either have them retrieve them for a fee or search the records yourself.

IF he is an adult, you can do a background/criminal check on him. I do this through www.ussearch.com

go through your state police... there is usually a fee and many times they require fingerprints

there are websites you can go to. go to "(your county and state) arrest inquiries". It's free in Florida but i don't know if it is everywhere else.
